When the Cooper Hewitt reopened in 2015, its visitor experience was digital: touchscreen tables built by Ideum, running interactive software designed by Local Projects.
At Local Projects I built Mansion History, the second-floor screen that reveals the Carnegie Mansion before it became the museum. Visitors navigate it by the building’s original floor plan, browsing architectural details, original fittings and fixtures, and the quirks of the mansion’s first residents. I also helped deploy all of the museum’s touch apps.

The other interactives were retired in 2022; Mansion History is still on view.
